From sea to shining sea, the geography of the United States includes mountains, lakes, rivers, deserts, islands, people, and more! The United States is the 3rd largest country in the world. It is located in North America between the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The United States is bordered by Canada to the north and by Mexico in the south. Both Canada and Mexico are also in North America.
